Fishguard to Milford Haven

I think being a weather forecaster is the easiest job in the world.... you go to the pub then look out the window and write the weather knowing full well that no one expects it to be correct!!!! Rant over but when I left Fishguard I was led to believe I could expect a NE F3 which would have been perfect instead I got no wind at all and then an hour out i entered a fog bank and stayed in it for 5 hours!!! visibility was about 100 yards so you just can't relax. I rounded St. David's Head, I could hear the birds but saw nothing.. thank god for GPS. As I was crossing St. Brides Bay I saw a dark shape ahead which looked like land, I checked the charts and my GPS but no land was shown. As I got closer it turned out to be an enormous gas tanker from Norway. As I arrived in Milford Sound the fog cleared and the sun shone.. the picture shows the leading light and fog horn at the entrance to the sound. I anchored just in side the Sound and watched the procession of oil and gas tankers come and go like buses in Piccadilly Square. the oil terminus is enormous. .....
