Camaret to Lesconil to Locmarie

I left Camaret with about six other boats at 5.30 a.m. all trying to get to the infamous Raz de Sein straights for slack water, when I got there it was clear I had timed it perfectly as apart from a swift 8 knot tidal stream in my favour there were no clashing seas to contend with so I turned south and headed across Benodet Bay towards my evening destination which was going to be Le Guilvinec but I’d heard that it was possibly blockaded by revolting French fishermen or should that be French fishermen in revolt either way they have been ramming boats and setting off flares so I decided to carry on to an anchorage at Leconil. The spot was beautiful so I blew up the dinghy and went for a walk along the beach alas Debbie was not there to walk into the sunset with me.
My next destination was then supposed to be Port Tudy on Ile de Groix but all the moorings were full & anchoring was not allowed outside the harbour so I went to the South side of the island to Locmarie where I picked up a visitors buoy next to a car sales convention from Dagenham…. Lucky me!
