Port St.Mary to Holyhead

As you can see another beautiful day; I never get tired of saying this as since this trip the weather has been decidedly unpleasant which is one of the main reasons my next trip will be to sunnier climes.

Today is the last day of what has been a wonderful trip and will take us about 53Nm due south to "Double Jay's" next home at Holyhead Marina at the western tip of Anglesey.

As I said the weather started well giving us clear simultaneous views of the mountains of Scotland, Ireland and Wales. The ferry and freight traffic increased which, with such good visibility, was a welcome diversion. We were about 20NM from our destination when we could see the clouds gathering over North Wales, the wind backed to a southerly, the clouds advanced on us and the rain started to fall. This was not the welcome Pete and I wanted but at least it gave Pete the opportunity to test his wet weather gear!
The conclusion of any journey is always a mixture of happiness on a successfull completion and sadness that the end is in sight; nevertheless the end was reached and I am happy with it. I am particularly grateful to Pete for the excellent company and for providing ALL the photographs!
