Las Arenas / Getxo

Wednesday 9th July

As I said I am moored at the mouth of the River Nervion north of Bilbao and here is the world’s first transporter bridge, the Vizcaya bridge, built in 1893 which transports people and cars across in a suspended gondola. I paid 4 euros to take the lift to the top and walk across; great view but a little disconcerting as the floorboards are old, creak and are just that little bit to far apart so you can see the river beneath your feet.
Anyway off to pick up my service exchange alternator now then to fit it, say a little prayer and if that works I need to plan my next stage to Santander.
